It's only been a few weeks since the original stein came to be, yet with all of the feedback and transformations - that feels like an eternity ago. The steins have grown, they've matured and can now hold just under a litre of something deliscious.

They also gave rise to the hobbit mugs, in around 600ml or 20 oz, perfect for that large, morning coffee. They're designed with a slightly heavier base, which if either chilled or preheated will keep your beer cold and your coffee hot for a good, long time.

Each one takes quite a bit of time to handbuild, sculpt and carve, though the attention to detail has payed off, as no matter from what angle, they always look great. The iron oxide on the outside and the burnishing prior to being loaded into the kiln for the glaze firing - gives them a smooth and satiny feel. The combination of different glazes on the inside and outer rim ensures an easy to clean surface that adds colour and personality.
