With each day, a new challenge answered - Day 3 of 5
As part of the Ceramic Artist's challenge to post 3 pieces over 5 consecutive days, I have reached the halfway point - Day 3 of 5.
As much as I enjoy creating functional pieces, I especially love the more whimsical side of ceramics. Where you let your creativity be your guide and create for the simple joy of it. And so, for Day 3 I wanted to showcase some of my sculptures.
The masks were especially interesting; as each one neared completion, it seemed to take on a life of its own, gaining character and personality. The froggy vase was a particular favourite, though took just over 5 weeks from start to finish, and the fish, well, I love the fish.
